The choir was founded in 1936. It has a wide repertoire. It has made many tours around the country and abroad – in Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Italy, Greece and France. It has made records on Bulgarian National Radio and Bulgarian National TV. It was awarded the gold medal “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” fi rst order by the Bulgarian government. Petar Matev has been a Conductor of the choir since 1999. He graduated from the State Academy of Music, Sofi a. He has worked with different choirs, giving concerts in Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Spain, Turkey. He has recorded four CDs.
