Izmit Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi Chorus is a relatively new chorus. It was founded in 2015 with 13 students within the secondary school for gifted children. The members are children from 8 to 12 years of age. The group sings unison and two parts songs and uses instruments to accompany themselves. They come from Kocaeli, industrial city in Marmara Region of Turkey very close to Istanbul.

The conductor of the choir is Metin Efe. He was born in 1976. He plays Kabak Kemane traditional instrument of Turky. He has worked for national ministry of Culture.
