Ural Federal University Capella named after Vadim Serebrovsky was founded in 2001. There are more than 40 people in the choir. They are students of our University. The repertoire of the choir more than 200 works of Russian and foreign choral classics, works by contemporary authors. The concert programs present variety of genres of choral music.
Julia Polyanovskaya is graduate of Ural State Conservatoire named after M.P. Musorgsky. She is laureate of many national and international competitions and festivals. She is ranked in the highest category of music pedagogues in Russia.
The choir has participated in different competitions and festivals. Some of theirs latest achievements are: silver and golden diplomas in International Choral Festival "Preobrajenie", (2017, Saint-Petersburg, Russia) ,bronze and golden diplomas in International Choral Festival of Academic Choirs IFAS 2016. (Pardubice, Czech Republic), Laureate of International Choral Festival-Competition of sacred music "Petrovskiye dni", (2015, Saint-Petersburg, Russia)
Ekaterinburg is the 3rd cultural center: many composers, writers, artists and famous musicians were born here. The city is located at the border between Europe and Asia. Ekaterinburg is famous to the whole world for a fantastic green mineral – malachite.
