Vocal Ensemble Rondo of Wroclaw’s Grażyna Bacewicz’s 1st Degree Musical School was created by a students’ initiative in 2006. It consists of former students of Wroclaw’s Grażyna Bacewicz’s 1st Degree Musical School’s graduates and former members of “Con Brio” choir, who are currently in Wroclaw’s upper schools and universities. The Ensemble performs in Poland and abroad, actively engaging in Wroclaw’s cultural life. It performs choral music from different eras, Negro Spirituals and arrangements of entertainment music’s and of traditional music’s standards. The Vocal Ensemble Rondo has won, among others:
The Ensemble is conducted by Małgorzata Podzielny – graduate of the Musical Education Institute and the Institute of Composing, Conducting, Musical Theory and Music therapy – the section of Music Theory at Wroclaw’s K. Lipiński’s Academy of Music (diplomas with excellent marks), and Postgraduate Choirmasters Studies in Bydgoszcz (diploma with distinction). In 2010 she acquired a PhD title at K. Lipinski’s Academy of Music. Since 2002, she has been conducting the “Con Brio” choir in 1st Deg. MS. Her students take part in regional, all-Poland and international festivals and contests, gaining numerous prizes. Since 2006, she has been a deputy manager of Church Music College at University of Opole’s Theology Institute. She also teaches students of K. Lipiński’s Academy of Music’s Musical Education Institute. Since 2009, she has been an artistic manager of Witold Lutosławski’s Philharmonic of Wroclaw’s Boy Choir. She has several times been granted prizes for the best conductor at choral contests. She is invited as a lecturer for workshops and seminars dedicated to problems of voice emission in children choirs. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
