About

Radiant faces, expressive songs, energetic choreographies, as well as quiet compositions in candlelight: all this is part of the program of our choir called Gospelchor am Münster. The choir presents a wide range of music, from pop songs to folk music to modern spirituals and traditional gospels, enhanced by professional staging.

In November 2014, our choir experienced its first highlight: We supported the American cult rock band Foreigner with vocal backings at the highly acclaimed Baloise Session of concerts in Basel, Switzerland. In 2015, our choir went on tour in South Africa and travelled through the country for two weeks, giving concerts in different cities and at several festivals. King Mabhena of Pondoland presented the choir with a "Royal Award" for intercultural commitment. At the "World Choir Games" in Belgium in November 2021, the choir took part in an international competition and won a gold medal in the "Jazz & Pop Ensembles" champions category.
