A Capella Gramofon choir was founded in 2012 with the participation of 24 choir members, who devoted themselves to polyphonic music, in order to perform a cappella music, which is not too much interested in Turkey. Consisting of choristers from different professions, the choir has won 17 awards in 12 festivals so far, both national and international. The conductor Türker Barmanbek was born in Izmir. He started his music education at an early age at Izmir State Symphony Orchestra. Later, he worked as a choirmaster assistant in the same institution. The works he composed were performed by many symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, various soloists in more than 100 concerts. He composed the music of more than 40 theatre plays. He performed concerts in various cities of Italy, Spain and Turkey with the choirs he has lead.
