Children's Chamber Choir "Solovushko," from the music school P.I Chaikovsky, was established in 1991 by Evgeniya Sedykh. Singing in the choir are children attending school in different specialties (piano, vocals, violin, balalaika, accordion.) In November of 2011, "Solovushko" celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The choir is a regular participant in local and regional festivals and events, as well as the winner of international, national, regional, and city competitions and festivals. The choir has performed in Russia and abroad in Bulgaria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Italy. The choir's repertoire includes Russian and foreign classics, sacred music, folk songs, and works by contemporary composers.

Sedykh Evgeniya Viktorovna gratuated from Rostov conservatory (academy) S. V. Rakhmaninova. In 1991 she organized the children’s chamber choir “Solovushko” at the music school P. I. Chaykovskogo in Rostov-on-Don. Evgeniya Sedykh conducts workshops for choir masters, meetings with the choirs, is the chief choirmaster of the joint choir of children's music schools in the city of Rostov-on-Don, and is a jury member for local and regional competitions and festivals She is also a teacher at the choral conducting department of Rostov Conservatory (Academy). S. V. Rahmaninova. Her work is marked with certificates and letters of thanks from the City Administration region, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and others.

Rostov-on-Don is the capital of the Don area. It was founded in 1749. It is situated on the right bank of the river Don. In the past, Rostov was a small town with small population, but now the territory of Rostov-on-Don is 380 square kilometres and the population is more than one million people. The city is a big industrial, scientific, and cultural center in the south of Russia.
