Süleyman Demirel Anatolian High School Choir was established in 2003 by Özlem Sultan Ozan Yilmaz. Her goal was to introduce Turkish folk and art music as well as the famous worlds choral pieces to the students. The choir performs on concerts organized upon various occasions and participates in festivals and competitions. They have won many awards and some of their latest success are : first prize at Ankara Choir Championship in 2008, first prize of Turkey Folk Music Choir Championship in Sivas.
Özlem Sultan Ozan Yılmaz was born in 1970 in Tokat. During her early education she joined many choirs, folk and dance groups. She graduated from Music education department at Karadeniz Technical University in 1989. She studied singing, choir conducting, playing the baglama and the piano. She works as a music teacher. In 2008 she was awarded for the best choral conductor at the secondary schools folk music competition. She attended seminars for drama orff instruments. She has been a chorister in Turkey Polyphonic Chorus since 1994. She was awarded the golden distinguished medal by Polyphonic Choruses Association of Turkey.
