Mixed Choir Adoramus (MePZ Adoramus) originates from the Slovenian town of Logatec. The town, which is located in the central region of Slovenia, is steeped in historical tradition which dates back to the time of the Roman Empire. Logatec is well known for its musical tradition and has been credited as the home of many renowned and successful musicians.
The Mixed Choir Adoramus was founded in 1987 on the initiative of conductor Marjan Grdadolnik, an experienced conductor who has received many international awards.
Mixed Choir Adoramus is comprised of over fifty vocalists. The choir's repertoire embraces a wide variety of music from religious, secular and popular works. The choir regularly participates in national and international competitions where it is highly regarded as one of the best. In 2012, the choir was awarded first place in the Mixed Choir category at the International Krakow Singing Festival. The choir placed second in the Mixed Choir category at the Rimini International Choral Competition in 2013 and participated in the "Grand Prix." Last year, they participated in a choir festival in Barcelona where the choir was awarded a golden diploma.
