Logos, is a youth choir which was founded by Elżbieta Naklicka in 2008. The choir originates from community centre of Świnoujście, Poland. The choir is comprised of girls and boys from various schools in Świnoujście. The choir’s repertoire embraces old-time, religious, pop and folk music. The choir is made up of amateurs who share a mutual love of singing.
The choir usually participates in urban ceremonies, however, they have also been selected to participate in a few festivals. In 2013, at the IV Krakow Advent and Christmas Choir Festival they were awarded the Silver Medal. In 2012 and again in 2014 at the XXXII and XXXIV Polish A Cappella Choir Competition for Youth and Children in Bydgoszcz they choir was awarded the Gold Medal.
Elżbieta Naklicka is the conductor of the choir, she is also a seasoned music teacher. She graduated from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk: Musical Education.
Świnoujście is a city and seaport on the north-west border of Poland. Świnoujście is well known for its beaches and health resorts. It is located between the Świna river and Baltic Sea. The city stretches over three big islands: Uznam, Wolin and Karsibór. It also lays claim to several dozen (44) small, uninhabited islands.
