Municipal Art Society’s “Lege Artis” was founded by a group of citizens who share a love of choral music. Currently, the Society has fifty active members of all ages and professions gather together twice a week to rehearse and prepare a diverse choral repertoire. The choir has received numerous awards most notably in Bijeljina were they were awarded the silver, bronze and gold medal in the category of mixed choirs.
“Lege Artis,” is conducted by Jasmin Hasic, who graduated from the Department of Music Theory and Pedagogy at the Academy of Music in Sarajevo. In 2008, he enrolled in the Department of Conducting where he studied under the mentorship of professor Resad Arnautovic. In 2012, he obtained his diploma in choral conducting. In 2014, Jasmin received a Masters in Musical Arts specializing in the field of conducting. He finished his studies with a gala concert with a large orchestra and choir of the Music Academy in Sarajevo. He was awarded the coveted “Silver Badge University,” from the University of Sarajevo, as one of the best students of the Music Academy.
