Bulgarian Voices Berlin is a female choir, singing mostly Bulgarian folklore arranged by modern composers. Their music is intimate and moving with a richness that can fill hearts and also concert halls. Once heard, Bulgarian folklore songs with their catchy melodies and fascinating rhythms leave a deep and powerful impression. This sound is full of emotion and passion - reflecting in its character this small country on the edge of Europe, where cliffs and mountains meet the Black Sea, golden domes of monasteries tower over old forests and valleys, rivers and villages have bore witness to dramatic histories. Every woman in the choir has her own story to tell about her road to Bulgarian folk music, but a joint love of this music unites these choir members together.

The Conductor Boryana Cerreti-Velichkova, graduate and former member of the prize winning Concert Choir of the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, has executed the art of directing her passion for the music of her home country. The singers of Bulgarian Voices Berlin all live in Berlin, Germany, but originate from different countries, making the choir representative of the colorful and multicultural capital city.
