The choir DiM was founded in 2004 as a way to motivate young people to engage in music. Ever since, DiM has been firmly heading toward its main goal – friendship trough music. Rewards came as a positive outcome, just to name a few: second jury and first audience award at Kupafest in 2011, jury award for the best interpretation at Velika Gorica Festival (VGF) in 2011, first jury award at VGF in 2013.

The choir DiM consists of its pianist and conductor Damir Zagoršćak, a guitarist David Crnić and nine female vocalists. Damir Zagoršćak is a primary school teacher, an active musician, and is both a conductor and a performer. He takes part in various cultural events, sharing his talent and enthusiasm for music.

The name of the choir, DiM, is an abbreviation for the hometowns of its members, namely Delnice and Mrkopalj, located in the region of Gorski Kotar. The region is situated in the mountainous region of Croatia and the population is approximately 20,000 inhabitants. The area is known for its ecology, varied wildlife, dramatic views and fresh pure air. Both municipalities, Delnice and Mrkopalj, share rich cultural wealth, offering traditional and contemporary music expression.
