"Medici Cantantes" The Choir of Wroclaw Medical University was founded in 2000 by Agnieszka Frankow-Zelazny. Since 2012, Magdalena Lipska has been the second conductor. From the very first year of its establishment, the choir has represented The Wroclaw Medical University on the national and international levels. The choir has participated in many international tours, garnering many prestigious awards and visiting many beautiful places as: Slovakia, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Spain, France, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Russia, Czech Republic, Italy and Turkey.
The choir performs mainly acappella concerts. Every year it participates in the St. Barbara's Festival of University Choirs and organizes Carol Nights and Lenten Mysteries - a treat for every choir member. The concerts at the end of the artistic season are becoming another great and important tradition to which the current members invite the former members of the choir with their families. The choir has recorded five albums.
In 2016, Wroclaw will be the European Capital of Culture. It is here that many people will come to make friends and enjoy in the arts. The choir invites you to visit their beautiful city.
