The choir started its activty in 2010 within the Vuk Karadzic gymnasium in Loznica. The founder and conductor of the choir is Darko Nestorovic. Considering its short time of existance, the choir has made remarkable progress. Currently, the choir has 70 members.
The choir regulary takes part in all events organized by the school and preform in various national and international cultural manifestations such as: "Djacki Vukov Sabor", Republic competition of Serbian language and Serbian culture and alike. Their repertoire consists of secular and spiritual music by domestic and foreign composers. They also have participated in national and international festivals and competitions. Here are some of their last success:
- 2011 - Two first place awards and one second place award at the Republic competition of choirs high school and music school in Novi Sad, Serbia.
- 2012 - gold medals in the Bijeljina competition (Bosnia and Hertzegovina)
- 2013 - The choir carried out its first independent concert.
The conductor, Darko Nestorovic, was born in 1971, in Loznica, Serbia. Upon leaving primary and secondary school he joined The Academy of Music where he graduated. Mr. Nestorovic conducts several choirs in Loznica: the Chamber City Choir, the Nightingale Children’s Choir and the Saint King Milutin Church cChoir. With all of these choirs, he constantly achieves remarkable results.
