The Choral Society Transfiguration was founded in 2005 at the Orthodox Church of Holy Transfiguration in Belgrade. It consists of devoted music-lovers who perform Serbian music as well as the works of world culture heritage.
Besides the mixed choir, they also have a female and children’s choir. In less than 9 years, they have had over 50 performances, 600 Liturgies, won the prizes such as “Best of the Best” at the Balkan festival in Kiten (Bulgaria) in 2011 and a gold medal at the Festival of Choir Music in Bijeljina (Bosnia-Herzegovina) in 2009.
The Choral Society Transfiguration is doing their best to contribute to the society by working with people with disabilities and through many other humanitarian activities.
The conductor, Bratislav Prokic, was born in 1984. He graduated from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade in the department of conducting, class of Maestro Bojan Sudjic. He is also the conductor of the Ecumenical Male Choir in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Belgrade.
