Bydgoszcz lies on the Vistula and Brda rivers. This picturesque city is home to many historical monuments, among them the seat of the University of Technology and Life Sciences where the choir resides. Since October 2007, the choir has been under the direction of Ms. Agnieszka Sowa, who was joined this year by assistant Jan Chęsy. Ms. Sowa is a graduate of the Departament of Choral Conducting of the F. Nowowiejski Bydgoszcz Music Academy. She frequently collaborates with Bydgoszcz’ own, Teatr Polski. Jan Chęsy is a young, talented musician, who has been associated with the Bydgoszcz Music Academy for two years. The group includes students and graduates of UTP as well as other colleges in the city. They are bound together by their passion for creativity and their love for music. Over the last few years the choir has performed about 100 times during important events for the University and the City. The choir's important achievements include:
- Golden Diploma and Golden Certificate of the “Svatky Pisni” International Choir Competition in Olomunec (Czech Republic).
- 1st place of the 14th International Religious Music Festival in Rzeszów (Poland).
- 3rd place in the academic choir division of the “Balkan Folk Fest” in Kiten (Bulgaria).
